After the storm: Qatar Foundation responds to massive rainstorm’s impact on Education City

The Qatar Foundation’s response to the havoc caused by the rainstorm that dumped on the Doha metro area on Thursday has been simple: getting back to normal as soon as possible.

Education City University Tournament, Spring 2023

Qatar Foundation hosted a Education City wide mini-tournament, from 12. Feb to 14. Feb, with all the finals set to be played on the occasion of Qatar National sports day, Feb. 14, 2023.

Eight different sporting events were played across the tournament. Football, Volleyball, and basketball were played in two gender categories, men and women. The tournament also saw the addition of two new events, bowling and endurance challenge.

Education City University Tournament, Fall 2022

Seven universities took part in the Fall edition of Education City University Tournament, which was played from Sep. 18, 2022, to 29 Oct. 2022.

The tournament consisted of five sporting events, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Basketball, Men’s Cricket, Men’s Football, and Mixed Volleyball. The tournament started with a men’s basketball game between GU-Q and NU-Q, and the last match was the women’s basketball finals between NU-Q and VCUarts Qatar.
